Foster Mentorship Relationships and Training Initiatives
At Alpha, we take looking after our people seriously - and part of this is ensuring that we provide excellent mentorship and coaching. We do this both through formal routes with an assigned mentor from Day 1, but also you will find that you grow a number of informal mentors that will support your professional development at Alpha. We are committed to training our team - as a Graduate, you will start with an expedited week-long 'Alpha Training Programme' which includes modules on core techniques and soft skills used in consulting, as well as sponsoring all S&D Graduate Associated to undertake Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 which is highly recognized in the industry.

Meet Our Team
I joined Alpha in 2018 through the the graduate scheme and since then have found it a brilliant place to work! My first role as an analyst put me straight into projects, where I had early exposure to work that was challenging and client-facing, but with the support of an excellent team behind me. Over the past six years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from long-term organisational design initiatives to short-sharp M&A pieces. The role has given me the chance to work alongside talented, driven colleagues while making a genuine impact to clients.
From day one at Alpha S&D, I’ve been given real responsibilities and felt like a valuable stakeholder in the team—from client proposals and outreach to market research and thought leadership. A standout moment was contributing to an M&A project within my first few weeks, working alongside a talented team. I’ve also helped craft our team’s value proposition and collaborated with colleagues across practices, including representing S&D on the marketing team. The best part? The sociable, team-oriented culture at Alpha. Whether working on projects or creating fun memories at social events, the environment fosters openness, collaboration, and growth. It’s an incredible opportunity to take ownership and shape your career path from the start.
Since joining the Strategy & Deals team I have found the work on offer meaningful, diverse and most importantly, thought-provoking. The team is close-knit and there is access to a great deal of expertise as well as willingness to support when you inevitably need some help on something. There have been opportunities from day 1 to immerse myself in all aspects of the business. This includes our projects which support inorganic and organic strategic initiatives for our clients as well as development of our business within the market and internally. The exposure, accountability and trust afforded to me throughout my time here are areas that really stand out as rare for an Senior Associate in a consultancy firm.
